The use of this gel on the coil spring will protect it from losing temper during soldering. This is a very important step to maintaining a good spring back of the hinge. Squeeze a small amount directly onto the coil spring prior to soldering. It keeps solder from flowing into the main part of the coil. Comes in a 1oz squeeze bottle.
